The Harelson Student Council serves as the voice and representative body for our student community. At its core, the Student Council embodies the principles of democracy and student empowerment, providing a platform for students to participate in decision-making processes that directly impact their educational experience. Members of the council often engage in various activities, including: organizing fundraisers, implementing school-wide policies, and community outreach. Students who participate in the Student Council gain skills in leadership, advocacy, communication, and collaboration.

Students who are interested in participating must be:

  1. A 4th-6th grader
  2. Recommended by their teacher
  3. Elected by their peers through a campaign process at the beginning of each year
  4. Available to meet Thursday after school once per month

For more information, please speak with Mrs. Petersen or Mrs. Dallman.
